Did You Know Your Home's Rollover Curb May Be Damaging Your Vehicle?

Sun, 11/09/2008 - 01:56
Did You Know Your Home's Rollover Curb May Be Damaging Your Vehicle?

Do you have a driveway with a deep "rollover" curb that is
hard to get over when pulling in or out of your driveway?
Have you ever wondered what long-term effects these jarring
scenarios have on your vehicles? In addition to being
annoying, the damage to your car, truck or RV can be
significant, affecting the frame of your car, its wheels,
steering components, alignment , tire wear and, ultimately,
decreasing gas mileage. Before we can correct the problem,
however, we need to understand it.

These troublesome curbs started occurring in subdivisions
built in North America after 1980 when developers installed
extruded curbs and gutters and paved streets before the
construction of the actual homes that would utilize them.
This method saved developers money by eliminating the need
for more expensive swale-type driveways and detailed
planning, but it created curbs and gutters that were
rounded but with a blunt top leading to the driveway.

Unfortunately, this design can cause significant damage to
the underside of the vehicles that drive over them
including  cars, trucks, SUVs, RVs, motorcycles, trailered
boats, golf carts and more. The jarring effect on the
vehicle can also impact the driver and passengers. Despite
the damage, developers continue to use this type of
rollover curb design in new neighborhoods nationwide. To
save the wear and tear to your vehicles and reduce the "jar
to your car," there are several potential solutions to
consider:

1) Demolish your driveway entry and curb, and reconstruct
a smoother entry.  Pros:  permanent correction of the
rollover curb. Cons: expense, potential difficulty getting
approval from your local municipality and homeowner's
association for a design change.

2) Fill in the rollover curb with cement, asphalt or steel
so that the steepness of the rollover curb is lessened.
Pros:  relatively easy to implement. Cons: Against code,
permanent, noisy, can be a trip hazard, and very heavy to
move for maintenance.

3) Purchase curb ramps specifically designed to fit into
the curb and gutter to create a smooth transition from your
driveway to the street. Pros: convenient, inexpensive, made
of recycled materials, made in the USA, water and debris
flow freely underneath, sturdy but movable. Cons: Once you
buy curb ramps, everyone in your neighborhood will want
them.

Of course, the choice is yours as to how to best correct
the problem. Whatever solution you choose, we encourage you
to consider it wisely and to correct the problem soon. The
long-term effects on your vehicles can be costly.

Top Ways To Increase Gas Mileage Now

Tue, 11/04/2008 - 14:13
Top Ways To Increase Gas Mileage Now

As the unstable conditions at the pump continue day after
day, we are all looking for a permanent solution.  We have
enough things to worry about financially speaking than
whether or not we can afford our next fill up.  With that
being said, finding ways to increase gas mileage is a good
way to pinch a few pennies.

When we start to find ways to increase gas mileage, we
notice quite a few things that we can do.  The first thing
we can do is to take our lead foot of the gas.  The next
thing we can take a look at is the air pressure in our
tires and inflate them to the correct pressure.  Another
thing we look at is whether or not our brakes are tightened
too much.  This will cause the engine to work harder.  And
lastly, be sure to keep your car on a regular service
schedule.  All of these things will go a long way in our
fight to save a little extra cash at the pump.

As you may have guessed, there are a few who want even more
ways to increase gas mileage.  Well, those people are in
luck because with the many advances in this field, there
are those who are experiencing nearly 50% increases in fuel
economy.  Many have found a new invention that uses gas and
water to be highly effective.

Although gaining in popularity, there are still many people
who have never heard of this type of technology.  The
basics are that a truck or car is transformed with what is
known as a Hydrogen generator.  Because of it's size, this
generator can be placed under the hood very easily and
works by mixing gas and water to form HHO or Hydrogen
Oxygen.  The end result is an efficient means of fuel
consumption by our cars leading to a boost in gas mileage.

Another exciting aspect of this generator is that it is
environmentally friendly.  Due to the fact that your car is
utilizing less gas, it's negative effects on the
environment are diminished.  Another added bonus is that
your engine will have a longer life due to the limited
amount of carbon build up on your engine.

Do me a favor, relax a moment and think of what you could
buy if you were saving nearly 50 percent on your gas
expenditures.  Did you know that you could potentially save
hundreds of dollars a year with this technology?  As I am
sure you can guess, a Hydrogen gas saver is becoming very
popular as one of the many ways to increase gas mileage and
save at the pump.  Remember this article next time you stop
to fill up your car and are shocked at the total.

Common Questions about Paintless Dent Repair

Sun, 10/26/2008 - 01:23
Common Questions about Paintless Dent Repair

If you haven't heard of paintless dent repair, it's a
special technique that uses specific tools to massage dents
out of your vehicle without damaging the paint, so there's
no need to repaint or use other chemicals.  If you have
heard about paintless dent repair but still have questions,
you're in the right place. Below you will find some of the
most common questions about paintless dent repair and their
answers.

Can any dent be fixed with PDR?

Unfortunately not.  To repair the dent, a technician needs
to be able to access the dent from underneath with the
special tools.  If they can't reach the dent this way, they
won't be able to repair it.  In this case, you would need
to find another dent repair service to use.

Will a dent ever return after it has been repaired?

No.  Once the dent has been properly repaired, it will be
gone for good.  They only way for the dent to return is if
you damage the vehicle in the same spot again.

Will the spot of the repair be noticeable?

If a minor dent is removed correctly, you will not be able
to notice where the dent ever existed.  The area will look
brand new again.  Even people with experience spotting
repairs can't see it when you use PDR techniques.  However,
some larger dents may be faintly visible.

Will the same PDR service fix the paint damage as well?

Unless you choose a service that offers multiple repair
services, most PDR services only focus on dent repair.  You
would need to find a different service to repair any paint
damage you have.  Your dent repair technician should be
able to recommend a good paint repair service in the area.

How long will it take to repair the dent?

The time frame depends on many factors including the size
and severity of the dent as well as where it's located.  A
minor dent can usually be repaired in under an hour.
However, some may take a couple of hours to completely
repair.  This is still much less time than it would take in
a body shop.

Will there by any damage to the vehicle during the repair?

While there is always a chance that your vehicle could
sustain damage during the repair process, it is highly
unlikely, especially with PDR.  It's much more likely that
your vehicle would be damaged in a body shop than with
paintless dent repair techniques.

These are just some of the common questions people have
about paintless dent repair.  Hopefully you found the
answers to any questions you had.  If you didn't, you can
always call a paintless dent repair service and ask them.
Most are more then happy to answer any questions you may
have about their service or the repair process in general.

Train Accidents Can Cause Brain Injuries, Fatalities

Mon, 10/06/2008 - 18:54
Train Accidents Can Cause Brain Injuries, Fatalities

During a three-year period, the Federal Railroad
Administration (FRA) Office of Safety Analysis reported an
increase of train collisions in the United States. The
increase, which occurred from June 2005 to June 2008,
accounted for a 13.3 percent jump in the number of wrecks
occurring throughout the country.

This figure is only heightened after the recent California
train accident in September 2008, when a train engineer
allegedly failed to stop at a red light causing a train
collision that killed at least 25 individuals and injured
an additional 135, according to officials from train system
known as Metrolink.

One of the common injuries that can likely occur during a
train accident is that of a traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Currently, nearly 5 million Americans suffer from TBI,
however, the number of victims who suffer from TBI due to a
train collision is unknown as many TBI victims are never
properly treated for their conditions.

There have been more than 10,000 train accidents reported
within the last three years, according to statistics
derived from the FRA. The most train accidents have been
found to occur in Texas, followed closely by Illinois,
California, Nebraska, Ohio and Kansas.

Individuals who have been involved in a train wreck know
that the severity of injuries suffered can range from
fractured bones to brain damage, which can severely impact
an individualís life. TBI is a serious condition and should
not be taken lightly as it can cause a number of side
effects ranging from sensory disorders to paralysis. If an
individual is involved in a train wreck and may suffer from
TBI, they should consult a medical professional as well as
legal counsel immediately to protect themselves.

Reasons for Train Wrecks

According to the FRA there can be several hundred reasons
as to why a train accidents occurs, but many of these
reasons are associated with defective parts with the train
or tracks. Several of the most common train wreck
collisions occur for the following reasons:

* wide gage (defective/missing crossties)

* switch improperly lined

* transverse/compound fissure

* shoving movement, failure to control

* switch point worn or broken

* harmonic rock off

* cars left foul

* failure to comply with restricted speed

Unfortunately, many of these reasons for train wrecks can
be attributed to human oversight or error. The U.S.
Department of Labor Bureau of Statistics reports that most
rail transportation positions are entry-level jobs
requiring little more than a high school diploma and little
to no previous experience or employment.

Locomotive engineers are the only rail transportation
professionals federally regulated by the FRA, but, as seen
in the California Metrolink incident, even a locomotive
engineer can cause a monumental train collision.

Brain Injury Side Effects and Treatments

While there are no known statistics on the number of brain
injury victims involved in train accidents, it is important
that a TBI victim be treated regardless of if they suffer
from a bump on a fractured skull. Brain damaged victims
often do not know that they are suffering from TBI until
the side effects worsen, in which case treatment may be
more difficult to administer.

All potential victims of TBI and their friends and family
should watch for the following signs and symptoms of TBI.
Signs of TBI can include the following, according to the
Neurology Channel, which is a board-certified neurological
information center developed by physicians and specialized
neurologists:

* anxiety, nervousness

* impulsiveness

* inappropriate laughter

* irritability

* disinhibition

* vision impairments such as blurry/double vision

* inability to concentrate

* headache

* dizziness

* lightheadedness

* seizures

* sleep difficulties

* slurred/slowed speech

* vertigo sensations

* weakness in limbs, facial muscles

* muscle stiffness or spasms

* loss of balance

* incoordination

* dysphagia (difficulty swallowing

Suffering from a Brain Injury Caused By Train Collision

Individuals who have had the misfortune of suffering
adversely because of a train wreck can find assistance in
consulting a knowledgeable train wreck attorney. An
experienced personal injury lawyer will be able to offer
insightful information as to developing a personal injury
lawsuit.

Medical bills can become extremely expensive very quickly
and seeking legal action in creating a train wreck case may
lead to receiving compensatory damages including money for
harm that has been inflicted on a train wreck victims.

Can you really get 100 mpg with your SUV?

Sun, 10/05/2008 - 23:59
Can you really get 100 mpg with your SUV?

As you know, I have been writing about the new technology
Dutchman Enterprises has developed for an enormous increase
of gas mileage for trucks and SUV's. In the past they had
some issues around EPA approval and they were in a pickle
to grow a network of dealers because the car manufacturers
didn't want to work with them. It must have taken the
recent downturn and the almost total collapse of SUV and
truck sales to get a little more open minded towards
technologies available right now. Dutchman Enterprises send
me the latest update below today, and I feel anybody
interested in ways to reduce gas mileage would want to stay
up to date. I realize that adopting a new technology that
hasn't been approved by any large manufacturer is tough.

This is a sign that times might change. I don't believe the
claim about the price, as mass production should actually
lower it. I don't think buyers will pay $3000 - $4000 more
for a truck with the system installed. With larger
production numbers prices typically go down. Dutchman
probably wouldn't want that, but if they can make a profit
with the current prices, they will make a killing when Ford
and others put their efficiency models into the production
ramp up, even if the individual system price goes down by
50%, which it probably has to if the numbers of sales are
to be increased significantly. We still have a credit and
financial crisis, not just an environmental crises. So here
is what the news from Dutchman said:

"Dear Axel Meierhoefer,

Hello from Dutchman Enterprises. We appreciate your having
taken the time at some time in the past to request a quote
for a PICC for one or more vehicles(s). We were concerned
about EPA issues with the technology originally, but we
have re-designed around those considerations and we are no
longer concerned about our special catalytic converter
qualifying with the EPA. With gas prices rising as they
have, other large interests have been looking for solutions
to some of their problems and we have discovered a common
interest in helping the American car manufacturers get back
to doing what they do best & make the kind of vehicles
Americans want. The door has opened for us to better serve
the American consumers. We have some extremely important
news. Ford and Dutchman have been talking and Ford finally
gave permission for Dutchman to tell the public what is
going on. This last weekend, a Ford executive spent several
hours speaking to the dealers involved in distributing the
Dutchman Enterprises automotive technologies at their
annual dealers convention.

Dutchman Enterprises can now announce that the initial
meeting with representatives of Ford Motor Company went
very well and both parties are excited about testing the
HAFC and PICC and for the potential of improving fuel
economy for American automobiles. The initial reaction of
the Ford team involved was excitement and enthusiasm over
the potential of both the HAFC and the PICC. Discussions
have begun about both companies partnering together to
further develop these technologies.

Dutchman Enterprises received a letter from the engineer
that is heading up the Ford team to test the HAFC. In that
letter from Corporate Headquarters in Dearborn Michigan,
the leading engineer wrote, the (HAFC) concept makes good
sense. There have been critics at large who have challenged
the idea of water gas and called it a scam technology, but
one has to consider the fact that no one knows more about
automobiles and what makes sense relating to them than the
engineers who design and build them. This same engineer, in
the same letter, wrote: We are also excited about the
potential of the PICC technology. Ford is discussing
getting involved because these technologies make sense.
Their testing is supposed to be over on or around October
1st, and the executive that addressed the dealers gave
everyone the impression it was going well. They have even
asked for more units and that is a good sign.

Mr. Alan Mulally, CEO of Ford Motor Company, was
interviewed on CNBC on the 12th of September, and he told
the reporter that there are some interesting things
happening in the alternative fuels area. He said, Hydrogen
technologies, involving water, offer some incredible
opportunities to do something with the engines we already
have. That is not a statement about regular Hydrogen Fuel
Cells, which do not operate with current engines. It is
reasonable to assume he is talking about water gas
injection and the Hydro-Assist Fuel Cells, which his people
are currently testing. Of course, Dutchman Enterprises is
excited about the prospects of partnering with Ford Motor
Company and their thousands of Ford dealers all across the
USA and throughout the world. Not to mention the
engineering and research prospects for developing the PICC
to its full potential. It is not hard to see why Ford would
want to be able to get 50% (or even 30%) better mileage out
of their existing SUVs and Pickup trucks. It could save the
US auto industry to be able to develop the PICC within a
year or so to be able to get 100 miles per gallon or better
(city and highway) with future SUVs and Pickups. Both of
these technologies have world wide patent protection owned
by Dutchman Enterprises.

What does this mean to you? It is time to seriously
consider getting your HAFC kit on order NOW. The Ford
executive mentioned that he thought our prices were too low
and that they should be double what we are currently
charging. I guess he is right, because we were charging the
same price we currently charge for the kit when gas prices
were half what they are now. When Ford comes in that will
most likely change. The demand will also go through the
roof! Just to modify the Ford vehicles will involve 60
million cars. A word to the wise, get your HAFC on order.
The PICC will most likely not be on the market for another
year or so. Ford will want to develop it with new car
designs in mind, while Dutchman Enterprises will absolutely
insist on an after market version as well, but that will
delay it for well over a year down the road.

In the meantime, can there be any doubt now that the
concept of the HAFC is sound and can improve fuel economy?
You have the benefit of being able to get a little ahead of
the curve while the price is half what it will be and while
there is not a waiting list as long as the gas lines in the
70s.

As, we are sure, you have already discovered, we have
assigned a customer service representative, who works for
one of our dealers, to you. If you have any questions about
this message, please contact Manager, your customer service
representative, using this email address,
support@preignitioncc.com. Let our representative do his or
her best to answer all your questions and get your HAFC kit
in process. One report we recently read made the point that
by merely increasing the mileage of vehicles in America by
a mere 30% we could eliminate our need for ANY of the
middle Eastern oil! Can you imagine what we can do for
America and American car manufacturers just by installing
the HAFC kits now?

When Ford joins us, we will be able to put a LOT of people
back to work and stop this fossil fuels insanity. With
their help, our PICC will be all that it can be, and all
American car manufacturers can get us all the cars and
pickup trucks we want with no concern for fuel costs or
pollution. This is the answer we are all looking for. Thank
you for your support in this effort.

If you have any questions about this announcement, please
contact your customer service representative who is Manager
using the his email address, support@preignitioncc.com."

Keep your eco-conscious mind sharp!

How Can You Get Hydrogen Hybrid Car When Most Of Them Are Too Expensive?

Mon, 09/29/2008 - 15:56
How Can You Get Hydrogen Hybrid Car When Most Of Them Are Too Expensive?

Most people want to find a way that they can save gas
mileage, especially with the high gas prices these days.
You could go out and buy one of the hydrogen hybrid
vehicles but most of these cost around $50,000, which most
people can't afford to buy. So, how can you make your
existing vehicle save gas like the hydrogen hybrid vehicles
do?

There are a couple of different ways that you can save gas
like the Hydrogen Hybrid vehicles do. You need to choose
the method that you are going to use carefully. So, do
research about these different ways before you decide the
best for you to use.

One: The most obvious way to have a car save gas like the
Hydrogen Hybrid cars do is to buy one of these vehicles.
This is a good idea for the people that can afford it.

Two: Do it yourself. This may sound impossible but it is
not really when you learn how to do it correctly. You can
find a generator kit that will help you save gas like the
Hydrogen Hybrid does. These kits will produce electrolysis,
which is where the water is split into one part oxygen and
two parts hydrogen by using your car's electrical system.
From one gallon of water you can easily produce almost 2000
gallons of hydrogen gas for your vehicle. By using a kit to
convert your car you will be able to save gas mileage and
money.

Three: You can also get a generator kit that will you can
hire someone to add to your vehicle for you. Find someone
that you trust and discuss with them what they will do
before you hire them to do the work.

No matter what way you choose to use, you need to make sure
you do your homework before you decide. Buying a new
Hydrogen Hybrid is not always smart for some people but if
it is not then you now know what you can do so you can save
gas mileage like these vehicles do.

The best place to learn and research what you need to know
is to go online to look. There is a lot of information that
will help you decide. So, give yourself time so you can
find the best way for you to use so you can save on gas
mileage like the Hydrogen Hybrid vehicles do.

How to Determine the Fair Market Value of a Car, Boat or RV Donated to Charity

Sat, 09/20/2008 - 18:04
How to Determine the Fair Market Value of a Car, Boat or RV Donated to Charity

Even though the laws were changed in 2005 to reduce the
incidence of perfectly legal "tax fraud," there are still
some situations where you may claim the "fair market value"
of your car, truck, boat, RV or trailer when you donate to
a legitimate charitable non-profit organization (NPO).
However, the rules governing what is "fair market value"
have also changed.

Until it was clarified, many people (and paid tax
professionals) thought this meant taking the "fair" amount
from the Kelley Blue Book (or a similar estimation
service), regardless of the actual condition of the
vehicle.  The IRS had different ideas about just what that
was when they wrote the statute, but the wording was less
than clear.  The fair market value clause cost the IRS an
estimated $640 million in 2000.

Also, consider what shape the vehicles donated by
middle-class Americans are actually in when their owners
finally consider donation.  Such vehicles are very often in
less than "poor" shape.  Many third-party, for-profit
companies that acted as agents for charities were taking
cars whether they ran or not (and advertising as such).
The owner got to avoid a fee at the scrap yard, let someone
else pick the car up for free and claim the fair market
value as a tax deduction.

However, taking the actual fair market value of your
vehicle is where the IRS noted the discrepancy.  Not only
were the agents skimming as much as 70% of the sale price
of each vehicle right off the top in legitimate (though
sometimes dramatically padded) "service fees," but the
difference in real worth became apparent at the point of
sale.  Since most of those cars ended up on the wholesale
market, the price difference was even more acute.

Even the "poor" rating in the Blue Book requires a running
car.  Clearly there was a big difference between what these
cars would fetch if someone put an ad in the paper and
their fair market value, as someone who'd taken economics
classes would understand the term.  The laws were changed
in 2005 to require a receipt of any gift valued over $250
as well as a written satement of what the car actually sold
for (over $500) or what use it was put to.  Therefore, if
the car is sold as its first use after donation, you will
only be able to claim the amount of the sale price that was
actually given to the charity.

However, if the vehicle is used, as is, you may deduct the
real fair market value - the price you can actually get for
the vehicle if you were to go ahead and sell the car
yourself.  If the car is actually used as a car by a needy
individual, your deduction can increase as much as 10-fold
versis sold on the wholesale market.

------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------

FYI Fair Market Value- In general terms:

Generally, if you claim more than $500 as deduction, you
can deduct the smaller amount -- the gross proceeds from
the sale of the car by the organization, or the car's fair
market value. Different rules apply if you claim a
deduction of $500 or less. Generally, the less liquid and
more unique a piece of property is, the harder it is to
accurately determine its fair market value. For example,
farm land is generally treated as a commodity and its fair
market value can be determined with relative ease by
comparing the sale prices of neighbouring properties.
Generally, for a vehicle that has been purchased within the
last three months, the agreed value will be the purchase
price.

------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------
-

If at any point in the first two years after you donate a
car to charity, the car is subsequently sold, the charity
will have to send you another receipt (actually a Form
8282) letting you know what happened to the vehicle.  You
don't have to change anything on your taxes, whether you've
filed them yet or not.  If it was legitimately used for any
length of time, you may claim the fair market value of the
car when you donated it.

In fact, to back up your claims and justify the fair market
value of your car that you've chosen, it is often a good
idea to take pictures of the vehicle, inside and out.  If
the vehicle is valued at over $5,000 you'll need a
independent appraisal (in writing) to confirm your fair
market value calculations.

If the car is to be fixed up and sold, you may also claim
the actual fair market value of your car, as it was when
you owned it, if the vehicle is repaired to such an extent
that it may be sold for more.  You are still allowed to
claim as much as you could have gotten if you'd placed a
classified ad.

Though the concept of fair market value does still allow
you to claim values that assume perfect selling conditions.
However, in the real world, many people price old cars to
make them sell quickly, so consider what you could actually
get for it if you tried.  You can assume a small
advertising budget.

Quick capacity test, will you have the power you need when you need it?

Mon, 09/01/2008 - 08:25
Quick capacity test, will you have the power you need when you need it?

If you have anything that runs on an electric battery, or a
sealed lead acid battery, you know that you have to
recharge the battery on a regular basis.  You are probably
also aware that you can ruin the battery by either not
charging it for long periods of time or over charging it.
This is the same with all batteries that are rechargeable.
They have to be maintained.

Sealed lead acid batteries are expensive.  They can end up
costing you a lot of money if you continue to keep
replacing them because you do not want to take care of them
or refuse to charge them properly in order to make sure
that your battery is working the way that it should be, you
can do a quick capacity test.  This can be performed by an
inexpensive device that can tell you if the battery is
working and if it has enough power.  It can also tell you
if it needs additional charging or is undercharged.  A
sealed lead acid battery quick capacity test is a great way
to make sure that your battery is working properly on your
electric vehicle.

Lead acid batteries are hardly new.  This concept is over
100 years old.  Over the past 30 years, however, it has
become apparent that we need to have rechargeable batteries
instead of disposable batteries. Disposable batteries are
not biodegradable and can end up causing damage to the
environment when they are tossed away.  Most states have
regulations regarding the disposal of any batteries.

You can save both the environment and money by making sure
that your sealed lead acid battery is in good condition at
all times by testing it periodically.  Just as you maintain
other items in your home and on your vehicle, you should do
the same with your rechargeable battery that is used for
your car, electric vehicle or other device.  It is better
to maintain the battery by testing it and making sure that
it has the proper amount of power, than to have to replace
the battery.

Once you have performed the sealed lead acid battery quick
capacity test, which only takes a few minutes, you can then
opt to recharge the battery if it needs additional
charging, or follow other instructions that you will learn
from the testing manual.  Everything is very clear to
understand, even for someone who has never before tested a
battery.  In addition to finding out about the amount of
energy that is left in the battery, this test can also tell
you if the battery is too cold or hot or has a leak.  This
is just another way to maintain the vehicle that the
battery allows to run.

The Secret to Getting Cheaper Gas

Wed, 08/13/2008 - 14:31
The Secret to Getting Cheaper Gas

Getting more miles per gallon (mpg) from every tank of gas
you buy is the easiest way to save money on fuel. There's
really no point in driving miles to find a gas station with
a cheaper price - it probably costs more than you save.

If you were thinking of buying fuel 'additives' you see on
automotive shop shelves, don't bother because they won't
help either. These might give your driving a little 'kick',
but they are expensive (one bottle every time you fill up),
and don't do anything to improve the running of your car or
truck.

There is one type of product however that is causing a big
stir in the motoring world, and one that the gasoline
companies are very worried about.

It is a fuel 'reformulator' that, when added to your tank,
will give you better fuel economy and save you 7% to 19% on
gas. That's taking money right out of the big companies'
pockets and for some reason they don't like it!

A good fuel reformulator is one that can be used in any
internal combustion engine. It must have proven itself to
be safe and natural, and reduce hydrocarbon emissions by
30% or more. Reducing the toxic emissions from internal
combustion engines greatly reduces the pollution in our
towns.

Using tiny molecules called 'esters', they break up the
dense gasoline molecules to help them vaporize faster.
These esters clean your engine's combustion chamber by
stripping it of any unburnt gas sediment, and restoring
your engine to 'new' condition.

If that wasn't enough, the best fuel reformulators
lubricate the components of your engine, reducing wear and
tear on engine parts, giving a smoother ride. This feature
alone can save thousands of dollars on the maintenance of
your vehicle's engine.

It is only necessary to add one ounce of the top fuel
reformulator to each 10 gallon fill. When you change your
oil, it is highly recommended to add an ounce to your crank
shaft - for even better results.

A small California-based mom and pop innovation, this fuel
reformulator has become a product passed by the EPA and is
now sold in countries around the world. It is used by
individuals as well as fleet managers, truck drivers and
freight companies.

Even more impressive is the "Double Your Money Back -
Lifetime Guarantee" that is the promise of its
distributors. They are obviously confident their product
works.

How To DRAMATICALLY Reduce Your Fuel Cost By Running Your Car or Truck On Water and Gas

Tue, 08/12/2008 - 12:20
How To DRAMATICALLY Reduce Your Fuel Cost By Running Your Car or Truck On Water and Gas

There has been a lot of talk on the internet and the press
about hydrogen fuel-cell cars that essentially run on
water. But after taking a closer look at water driven
technology that runs a car 100% on water, it's clear that
the cost of conversion and implementation results in
spending even more than using the usual fuel for powering
vehicles. It's just not economically feasible, yet.

However, many innovative experts suggest that there is a
way to cost-effectively utilize this technology now. By
powering your car with water in combination with gas or
diesel will result in a low-cost "homemade" hybrid vehicle.
This type of conversion will result in a dramatic savings
of fuel, from 35% to as much as 75%. At this time, building
a car from scratch that will run solely on water is still
both costly and impractical. Instead, it's better to
construct and install a simple device that will harness
this hydrogen fuel technology and enable your car to run on
water as well as gas. This can be done now and result in
immediate savings. There is no need to alter your car's
existing engine or even get a new hybrid car to enjoy these
savings. The technology can work with virtually any car or
truck.

To further explain, this technology involves building a
simple home-made device that uses 12 volt power from your
car's electrical system to separate water into a gas called
HHO (consists of two parts Hydrogen + one part Oxygen).
This HHO gas, also known as Hydrogen*Oxygen  or
"Hydroxy", burns very efficiently. The means it produces
significant energy.

Probably the most amazing fact is that pound for pound HHO
gas is far more potent than gasoline. Tests prove that HHO
gas is 3 times more potent than gasoline. And it burns
clean, no polluting exhaust.

By implementing this technology in your car, you
effectively save money on fuel. Because you need to buy
less of it, and you drive farther on the gas you do buy.
Real-world estimates show that a typical HHO conversion
could save you as much as $900 per year ($75 a month). With
multiple cars and drivers in a family, the yearly savings
increase dramatically. For companies that have a vehicle
fleet of 50 cars and drivers in a company, the yearly
savings can increase to as much as $50,000 per year.

Until the technology for running a car completely on water
is off the drawing board and in the marketplace at a price
that makes it practical to implement, utilizing this HHO
technology is by far the best choice to save in the
interim. Best of all, with the right information and a few
easily obtained components, it can be utilized right now.
So even if you can't yet save 100% of your gas usage, you
can save around 50% now. It's worth doing.

Hypermiling

Tue, 08/12/2008 - 07:06
Hypermiling

Though the term "hypermiling" is a new word, the concepts
it is based on are not new at all.  We have just never had
a specific name for it until now.

However, with gas prices reaching the extortion levels,
people (out of necessity) have started to pay attention to
how much fuel they are consuming.

And thus the word "hypermiling" has been born.  The term
"hypermiling" (originally coined by Wayne Gerdes) in simple
terms means getting the best gas mileage out of the fuel
you have.

Before the word "hypermiling" was born, "hypermiling" was
just referred too as sensible fuel economy, or common-sense
driving practice.

But today, getting the most for your money (by squeezing
out the maximum amount of mileage per gallon of gasoline)
has become a specialized field, with the name "hypermiling."

A lot of "controversy" has been built up around the subject
of hypermiling.  Some claim it is dangerous or state that
it causes accidents, etc.  These statements are about as
intelligent as the statement that driving is dangerous or
causes car crashes.

Of course, if there were no cars on the road, there would
be no car accidents. That is about the level of logic we
are using when we say that hypermiling is dangerous or
controversial.

Before the subject of Hypermiling came about, we would have
heard about "safe and unsafe driving practices."  Today, in
the interest of controversy, we no longer hear about
"unsafe driving practices," but about hypermiling.  I guess
monkey learned a new trick.

Lets take a look at what hypermiling is, and what a few
hypermiling techniques are:

First of all, a common hypermiling practice is to plan
one's trips a little more carefully, in order to avoid
unnecessary driving. That's common sense, I would say.  But
it's not something we were too careful about when fuel was
cheap.

Another favorite hypermiling technique is staying within
the speed-limit, since driving at higher speeds wastes
fuel.  Avoiding excessive idling of one's engine is also a
key hypermiling tactic, as you are getting zero miles per
gallon when you are standing still. What is interesting
about this last point is that, for years now, we have had
cars whose engines switch to "hibernate mode" after
standing still for a few seconds, in order to avoid wasting
fuel.  "Hibernating" here means that the engine "switches
off" and starts up again the moment you hit the gas peddle
with your foot.

Making sure that your tires are inflated to the correct air
pressure, according to the instructions of the
manufacturer, is also a hypermiling technique.  That might
sound like a minor detail to some, but if you have ever
ridden a bicycle with tires that were under-inflated you
will have a good idea how much extra energy it takes, as
compared to riding with correctly inflated tires.

Well, the same goes for a car.  Under-inflated tires make
your engine work a lot harder and consume more fuel. Try
riding a bicycle with badly inflated tires sometime, and
you will get a good idea of what I am talking about.  A car
handles better with correct tire pressure, giving you a lot
more control when you are driving.

I could go on and on, detailing all the other points of
hypermiling.  But I think the above examples serve to show
you that we are really just talking about common sense.

The only real truth in all this controversy is that there
are safe drivers and there are unsafe drivers. But that is
nothing new, and this fact did not arrive with the subject
of hypermiling.  It will not go away with the subject of
hypermiling either.

Some people are smart and some are less so.  That's nothing
new and it's not something we didn't already know.

I guess it's the ones who are "less so," who feel the need
to create a "controversy" around a subject like
hypermiling.  It probably makes them feel clever.

But the fact is, hypermiling consists of safe ways to
improve gas mileage.  Just as one could drive unsafely in
the interest of better gas mileage, one could also be a
maniac gas-guzzler who speeds around turns, slams on his
brakes, and pays high gas prices as a result.

Real hypermiling techniques involves safe and sensible
driving habits.

Regardless, hypermiling simply consists of a set of
techniques and driving practices which are used to get
better gas mileage, using common sense and safe driving
practices.
